THE COMPRESSOR

THE CONDENSER
The condensing coil, or condenser, is a lattice-like structure made up of numerous aluminum fins. It recycles hot refrigerant and converts it from a high pressure gas to a high pressure liquid.

THE FAN
The fan pushes air through the condenser, helping the stored thermal energy escape to the outside environment.
HOW IT WORKS

The outdoor compressor unit pumps refrigerant through the refrigerant tube to the indoor unit coil.
Cooler, less humid air is returned to the living space.
The refrigerant, in gaseous form, returns to the outdoor coil where it is converted back to liquid as thermal energy is released from the outdoor coil.
Heat and moisture are removed from the indoor air blown through the coil as the liquid refrigerant changes to gas.
The heat extracted from the indoor air is absorbed by the liquid refrigerant.
